Arkib Kopi always interested in works carried out by coffee institute such as Instituto Hondureño del Café which responsible to introduce a variety called IH-90. In 1980 they developed IH-90 to combat leaf rust disease and also trying to help farmers to get better yield of their coffee production. This unique varietal is cross hybrid between Catimor and Caturra that give it small compact stature, high productivity and disease resistance.
As boutique coffee roaster, Arkib Kopi always happy to source coffee from a single producer like Martin Galeas Mejia. Together with his wife and 5 children, he dedicated his life to growing coffee and keep improving the quality. Despite of minimal equipment that he has, Martin always keep all processing process in order. His efforts paid off when he won 19th place in Honduras Cup of Excellence in 2018.
