The idea of building a place solely driven by a passion for quality and a love of hospitality has been brewing for many years since we established Arkib. Serving only top-notch coffee accompanied by freshly baked goods that define the experience of visiting a specialty coffee shop. It wasn’t until we met our café partner, Brizeveryday who has been on board since 2024 that everything perfectly clicked, enabling us to pilot a coffee shop project where it truly live the essence of specialty coffee.
Ab Coffee Brewers is a one-of-a-kind project that has found its home in the historic city of Malacca. With its long history as an ancient kingdom, Malacca reminds us to cherish our roots and culture while we serve great coffee to the community. The shop is on Jalan Bunga Raya, a street that used to be full of lively, colorful shops in the 1950s but has mostly quieted down as new generations moved on. Opening Ab Coffee Brewers marks an important moment as a coffee shop that brings new energy to the neighborhood.
The approach is simple. We brew the best seasonal coffee, freshly roasted by Arkib, and serve it with freshly baked treats that perfectly enhance its flavor. With this guiding principle, Ab Coffee Brewers becomes a stage where our quality speaks for itself, sparking curiosity in our customers and inviting them to experience the world of specialty coffee.
The coffee shop is designed to celebrate local architecture, history, and culture. Inspired by Malacca's timeless clay heritage, the terracotta-tiled floor instantly creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfect for a cozy dining experience. Soft, warm lighting sets a relaxed pace, inviting guests to slowly savor every bite and sip. The standout feature is the counter bar by Crosscut Studio, crafted with engineered wood veneer and marine plywood, which perfectly captures the artisanal spirit of our coffee brewers.
