This carefully curated blend showcases the work of passionate farmers from the South of Minas region, a landscape celebrated worldwide for its rich soil, balanced climate, and ideal altitude that perfect for cultivating exceptional coffee. Each coffee lot is thoughtfully chosen to meet the highest quality standards, with every selection achieving scores above 82 points. This consistent excellence is the result of generations of farming knowledge, dedication to craftsmanship, and a shared commitment to producing remarkable coffees.

The coffee is processed using the traditional static box natural method, a technique that highlights the full potential of the beans. Only cherries harvested at peak ripeness are selected, ensuring maximum sweetness and flavour development. After harvest, the cherries are spread carefully fermented in concrete tank to develop much gentle taste profile. The coffee finally dried across patios, where they dry slowly under the sun. This gentle drying process helps to concentrate the sugars and preserve the complex aromas, resulting in a coffee with vibrant fruit notes, a rich body, and a distinctive taste that truly embodies the spirit of South of Minas.

This new variation of natural process coffee, give Castanhas lot much round and gentle taste profile. On espresso, this coffee reveals rich notes of raisin, dried fruits, and hazelnut, offering a deep and layered flavor. When paired with milk, it transforms beautifully, delivering the smooth, comforting taste of a chocolate bar with bittersweet and creamy milk chocolate tones. The Producer

Founded in 1961 in Três Pontas, Minas Gerais, Cocatrel (Cooperativa dos Cafeicultores da Zona de Três Pontas) has grown into one of Brazil’s largest and most respected coffee cooperatives. With over 8,000 dedicated members, Cocatrel produces and manages more than 3 million coffee bags every year, specializing in natural and specialty coffees. It also leads efforts to meet new European sustainability standards through SeloVerde MG certification.
